Firm founder Mark Albert is a Peabody-winning journalist whose quarter-century career has been distinguished by investigative and political reporting, innovative storytelling techniques, and creative communications. He's traveled the world for CBS News and reported from the White House, Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court; created and led a national investigative unit for Hearst Communications; taught journalists in newsrooms in the U.S., Vietnam, and Pakistan; launched an online news startup and created a media database to drive dozens of earned media appearances; and has been to 85 countries so far. In addition to the Peabody Award for an investigation that changed the way remains of American service members are tracked around the world, Mark has been awarded the 'Wade H. McCree Excellence in Legal Journalism and the Advancement of Justice Award' by the State Bar of Michigan for his coverage of the judiciary, law enforcement, and criminal justice issues. Among other honors, he's the first journalist ever awarded the ’Superior Civilian Service Award’ by the Minnesota National Guard for his body of military reporting and embedded coverage, including from Iraq. He's also been honored by the National Press Club and National Press Foundation.
